Mountains and Jungles

We learned on Wednesday that Nan is spending the week in the lowland indigenous village of Huacaria in the Peruvian Amazon, living and working with Huachipaere and Machiguenga families, and then setting out on a two-day canoe trip along the Made de Dios river.

After a short stay in Puerto Maldonado, they will be spending three days supporting a family harvesting brazil nuts and learning about the local economy. They will then be heading to the Peruvian highlands for the next phase of their trip.
