Odocoileus virginianus

Earlier this season we had a doe come in with two barely-standing fawns and, one day in May, while moving a fence, Mark nearly stepped on one of the fawns stashed in the tall grass. This week, the two fawns have been coming in to eat fruit in the orchard and in the barnyard. No sign of of the mother.
