From the middle of June to the first week of July we welcomed into our home two women from Tamil Nadu, India, Deepa and Falguni. Our house guests are here from Auroville, near Pondicherry, and are studying at Antioch.
Falguni and Deepa are wonderful guests. Their notable cooking skills are memorable, and keep us eating rice and dahl for weeks and, one afternoon, a deep-green chutney made with coriander and mint from the garden.
We enjoy family dinners with our guests, pick fresh strawberries, and go shopping for basketball shoes and other items to pack into overstuffed bags for the trip back home to India.
