Mid-May Check In
We are all transitioning here from a busy school year to a busy summer. Beck is grappling with the legal issues and problems that course through the veins and arteries of a complex institution of higher education and planting and transplanting garden beds; Mark is wrapping up another academic year, completing the final stages of a book manuscript that is due next week, planning a Summer Institute for teachers at Phillips Exeter school, and playing some summer hockey with Nathaniel at the new rink in Keene.
Nan is working full time with Bill and Clai remodeling kitchens and building houses and farming, doing workouts for fall hockey, and playing some golf; and Ellinore, with her junior year behind her, is looking ahead to a summer of work as a lake host at Sand Pond for the state of New Hampshire, teaching horseback riding, doing summer jobs at NMH, including the reunion, and attending ice hockey showcases.
