The March visit to the Collège Stanislas in Sainte-Foy and Outremont, Quebec, a French language private education institution for boys and girls, provided Ellinore and the other 6th graders, a chance to see what a large French-speaking school is really like. Founded in 1938 by Raoul Dandurand and other wealthy French Canadians as a subsidiary of the Collège Stanislas de Paris in Paris, France, the Collège Stanislas in Montreal was a hit. Then in April the 6th grade class from the Collège Stanislas visited the verts monts and the Grammar School. We hosted Ellinore’s pen pal, Teta, for the weekend. And on Sunday we had a gathering of close to one hundred kids and family members descend on Water Run Farm for a post Putney Mountain hike pot luck dinner.
